Getting Started

When considering volunteer opportunities the first step is to choose a program type. You can review our current placement options to determine if they match your interests and expectations. If you have not already decided upon a program type, you can review our current placement options program type to help you get an idea of the opportunities available and assist you in making the decision of program type.

Once you have decided upon a program type, the next step is to complete the online application. This application provides our field coordinators with the information they need on your interests and experience.

After your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted with your acceptance notification (in the email you provided on registration), and access details to log into the Volunteer Network. This is where you can then view the specific placement options that you chose.

You will be contacted by our coordinator at this point, and can begin working directly with them regarding your placement options.

Your coordinator is your best resource to discuss your current, and other, potential placement options, as well as any other placement specific questions you may have. After all, they're living there and can speak about it firsthand.
